Responsibilities
Responsible for routine duties related to the operation of the school clinicAdminister basic first aid and care to ill and injured students according to district policyRefer specific student health problems and concerns, including consultation for the ill or injured student, to the assigned school nursePerform health screenings according to district and state guidelinesAssist the assigned school nurse in preparations for health teaching activitiesAssist in enforcing immunization statutes and prepare cumulative health records for new studentsMaintain clinic inventory and ensure a healthful clinic environmentUpdate and maintain medical records for students at regular and / or required intervalsServe as liaison between school, home and communityPerform other duties as assignedWork with frequent interruptionsMoving small boxes, equipment and other campus equipmentBenefits

Primary Purpose : Responsible for routine duties related to the operation of the school clinic.
Qualifications / Skills : Education / Certification :
High school diploma or equivalent.Special Knowledge / Skills :
Effective organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to use personal computer and software.Ability to work effectively with people. Major Duties and Responsibilities :Nurse Support :
Administer basic first aid and care to ill and injured students according to district policy.Refer specific student health problems and concerns, including consultation for the ill or injured student, to the assigned school nurse.Perform health screenings according to district and state guidelines.Assist the assigned school nurse in preparations for health teaching activities.Clerical Support :
Assist in enforcing immunization statutes and prepare cumulative health records for new students.Maintain clinic inventory and ensure a healthful clinic environment.Update and maintain medical records for students at regular and / or required intervals.Process health information via computer system.Other :
Serve as liaison between school, home and community.Perform other duties as assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities : None
