Job Summary : A Certified General Motors (GM) Technician is a highly skilled professional responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles manufactured by General Motors. These technicians are trained and certified by GM and possess in-depth knowledge of GM vehicle systems and technologies.

Key Responsibilities :

Vehicle Diagnostics :

Use advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot vehicle issues accurately.

• Interpret diagnostic codes, data, and computer-generated reports to diagnose problems.

Repairs and Maintenance :

Perform a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and electronic repairs on GM vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and HVAC systems.

Parts Replacement :

Replace and install GM-specific parts and components, ensuring proper fit and functionality.

Software Updates and Programming :

Update and reprogram vehicle software, modules, and control units as needed to address performance, safety, and emissions issues.

Documentation and Reporting :

Maintain detailed records of all services performed, including parts used, labor hours, and diagnostic findings.

Quality Assurance :

Ensure that all repair and maintenance work meets GM's quality standards and specifications.

Customer Interaction :

Communicate effectively with customers to explain necessary repairs, provide estimates, and address concerns.

Safety and Compliance :

Follow safety protocols and guidelines when working with GM vehicles and equipment.

Training and Development :

Participate in ongoing GM training programs to stay up-to-date with the latest vehicle technologies and repair techniques.
