Job Title : Senior IAM Engineer / Architect

Duration : 12 Months contract

Location : Beech Grove, IN

Overview :

We are seeking a seasoned Senior IAM Solutions Architect to spearhead the design, development, and deployment of advanced identity and access management (IAM) solutions using the Transmit Security platform. This role demands deep expertise in authentication, authorization, and federated identity protocols to secure enterprise applications and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead the architecture and development of secure authentication and authorization workflows leveraging Transmit Security Journeys, WebSDK, and AuthScript.
  • Design and implement scalable, cloud-native IAM solutions aligned with enterprise security standards and frameworks.
  • Build and maintain secure RESTful APIs and microservices with Java and Spring Boot, employing token-based authentication methods.
  • Configure and optimize federated single sign-on (SSO) using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and SAML 2.0 protocols.
  • Develop adaptive and risk-based authentication mechanisms for high-demand enterprise applications, enhancing security posture.
  • Oversee token lifecycle management, session security, and request / response tracing to meet compliance and audit requirements.
  • Partner with DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams to establish CI / CD pipelines, containerize applications using Docker and Kubernetes, and automate infrastructure provisioning with tools like Ansible and Puppet.
  • Provide technical leadership by mentoring engineers and enforcing best practices across IAM development and security teams.
  • Investigate and resolve complex authentication and authorization issues through root cause analysis and mitigation strategies.
  • Establish and enforce IAM governance policies ensuring adherence to regulatory standards such as PCI-DSS, SOX, and HIPAA where applicable.

Required Skills & Expertise :

  • Advanced proficiency in Java programming and Spring Boot framework.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with the Transmit Security platform including Journeys, AuthScript, and WebSDK components.
  • Deep understanding of IAM concepts including authentication, SSO, federation, and CIAM.
  • Expert knowledge of authentication standards and protocols : OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML 2.0.
  • Strong background in microservices architecture and API security including JWT and API Gateway integration.
  • Experience with NoSQL and relational databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, and PostgreSQL, especially in IAM contexts.
  • Skilled in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and container orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools like Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, and CI / CD tools such as Jenkins.
  • Solid understanding of security frameworks including Zero Trust, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and regulatory compliance requirements (PCI, SOX, HIPAA).
  • Experience implementing risk-based authentication, behavioral biometrics, and fraud prevention workflows.
  • Knowledge of passwordless authentication technologies such as FIDO2 and WebAuthn.
  • Integration experience with SIEM solutions (Splunk, ELK stack, Azure Sentinel).
  • Exposure to regulated industry environments such as Banking, Healthcare, and Insurance.

    • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related disciplines.
  • 12+ years of experience in Java development and IAM solution design.
  • 8+ years of direct experience implementing Transmit Security platforms.
  • Demonstrated leadership in driving large-scale enterprise IAM transformation initiatives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage both technical teams and business stakeholders.
