Responsibilities

The Plant Accountant is responsible for accurate reporting and management of financial data for a manufacturing plant. This role includes handling payroll, accounts payable, and personnel administration, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and maintaining job skills through training programs.

Primary Job Responsibilities :

• Ensure PPE compliance and maintain a safe working environment.
• Summarize and report on general accounting activities.
• Communicate unsafe conditions, acts, or injuries to the Plant Manager.
• Manage payroll, including overtime, employee benefits, and taxes using ADP and E-time software.
• Prepare entries using accrual accounting for payroll, freight, and capital expenditures.
• Record and report numerical and financial data.
• Manage accounts payable and purchase order processes.
• Handle transactions of collected cash and checks.
• Administer personnel files, vacation and attendance tracking, new employee processing, and benefits administration.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Understand and practice ADS CORE VALUES.
