- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state\n
- Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred\n
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification\n
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification\n
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification\n
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg RN experience preferred\n
- Ability to float to other healthcare units or facilities within 60 miles as needed\n\nMed / Surg RN Responsibilities\n
- Assess and monitor patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs\n
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans with the interdisciplinary healthcare team\n
- Perform therapeutic and diagnostic interventions : IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, specimen collection\n
- Advocate for patient health, safety, and rights in the clinical setting\n
- Provide patient and family education, assess learning readiness, and evaluate teaching effectiveness\n
- Deliver compassionate, relationship-based nursing care respecting patient preferences and values\n
- Delegate tasks to non-RN healthcare personnel according to Kansas state and hospital policy\n
- Serve as a professional role model and mentor for new staff and nursing students\n
- Participate in quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and healthcare research activities\n
