About the Role

We are seeking a visionary and execution-focused leader to join as Vice President Strategy Business Development. This executive will be critical in guiding our commercial and technical strategies as we expand our footprint.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic initiatives focused on the commercialization of advanced energy transition solutions.
  • Translate market trends and regulatory shifts into actionable product and partnership strategies.
  • Engage directly with utility, industrial, and data center clients to develop tailored decarbonization roadmaps.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across engineering, sales, product, and regulatory teams.
  • Serve as an internal and external thought leader on energy transition and grid modernization.
  • Identify and evaluate technology partners, investment opportunities, and M&A targets aligned with our strategic roadmap.
  • Guide customer acquisition and influence executive-level decisions in complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in the energy or utility space, with significant leadership experience in energy transition, project development, grid modernization, or distributed energy.
  • Strong technical fluency in distributed generation, energy storage, hydrogen, microgrids, or DER integration.
  • Proven track record leading cross-functional teams in scaling innovative technologies or services in regulated or mission-critical environments.
  • Commercial acumen and boardroom presence; trusted advisor to C-suite clients and partners.
  • Excellent understanding of policy, regulatory, and commercial drivers of decarbonization.
  • Ability to translate complex concepts into actionable business strategies.
  • Location

    Remote preferred — major energy hubs (e.g., California, Texas, Northeast)

    ~30–40%
