Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption, usage, and ultimately guest loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

As a Guest Advocate
No two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities :
Demonstrating a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standardCreating a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing your daily tasksWhen guests need assistance, engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needsMaking the guest aware of current promos, store activities, and eventsBeing knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the total store, and specific to your area, to solve issues for the guest and improve their experienceThanking guests and letting them know we're happy they chose to shop at TargetKnow and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs with every guest and assist with application or sign-up as neededScan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practicesWork efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service and accuracyUnderstand and show guests how to use the features and offerings within the Target App including WalletBe familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering, and know how to direct the guest to enroll, activate and use the se featuresAttempt every return and follow register prompts; partner with immediate Leaders as needed to help solve for the guest while following Targets policies and proceduresMaintain a clean, clutter-free work area by gathering unpurchased items, baskets, and hangers for removalStock supplies during store open hours while being available for the guestDemonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and complianceWork in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possibleSupport guest services such as order pick up (OPU), Drive-up (DU) Orders, DU Returns and maintain a compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage lawsAll other duties based on business needsWhat We Are Looking For

But, there are a few skills you should have from the get-go :
Communicating effectively, including using positive language and attentive to guests needsWelcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team membersAttention to detail while prioritizing tasksWilling to educate guests and engage around products and servicesAbility to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directedWork both independently and with a teamCapability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframesWe are an awesome place to work and care about our teams, so we want to make sure we are clear on a few more basics that we expect :
Accurately handle checkout operations, transactions, and support cash office operations as neededScan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving product up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without additional assistance from othersFlexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, and holidays); reliable and prompt attendance necessaryAbility to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary)Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties including but not limited to Drive-Up, carryout, etc.
