HR Intern

The Human Resource department manages all HR operations for the firm which includes Talent Management, Talent Development and Talent Acquisition. The HR Intern provides support to the HR team to better understand each functional area and assist in strategic continuous improvement projects. The successful HR Intern is a proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative individual who demonstrates strong organizational skills, professionalism, and a willingness to learn. They thrive in a fast-paced environment, take initiative, and contribute positively to the team's overall success.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with new employee orientation and new hire on-boarding
  • Support technical training sessions, both onsite and at RKL campuses
  • Organize and maintain employee files and related documentation
  • Enter and update employee information within the HR database
  • Help plan and coordinate summer employee engagement events
  • Assist with summer recruitment programs, including event planning, coordination, and presentations
  • Contribute to content and engagement for recruiting social media platforms
  • Provide general support to HR team members on special projects and daily operations

  • Education, Experience and Certifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Sociology or related field
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills required
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
  • Essential Functions

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position as needed
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office and at client offices to access file cabinets, office machinery etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner and exchange information with internal and external actors as needed
  • Ability to lift / carry up to 20 pounds
  • Ability to work outside of normal business hours and weekends as needed
  • Ability to travel to local and non-local clients as needed, overnight travel may be required

  • Salary Range : $20.00 - $25.00
