Overview

UI / UX & Front End Engineer – VANTA Partners' client is looking for a UX engineer (with both product design and front end development experience) to help create and implement an elegant interface for a revolutionary web-based product.

What you'll do

  • Design the interface of a no-code, natural language search based analytics platform
  • Create beautiful user experiences for a variety of analytic workflows, with natural language querying at the core of the user’s interactions
  • Build a unique, innovative user interface for working with data across exploratory, statistical, and machine learning domains
  • Ideate on and formalize the user journey, creating intuitive workflows for a variety of data science use cases
  • Build wireframes & demo videos from scratch showcasing our querying, dashboarding, and data upload workflows
  • Ideate on product at a high level, creating and revising new features, screens, and workflows
  • Interview current and prospective users for feedback & inspiration
  • Conduct market research on competing platforms to help locate and maintain our most important differentiators

What you'll need

  • You have an expert-level understanding of Figma and / or competing design tools like Adobe XD, Axure RP, Sketch, InVision, etc.
  • You enjoy and have experience in the entire end-to-end process of product design, from ideation, market research, and user research to sketching, wire-framing, and getting user feedback.
  • You have an expert level understanding of one modern front-end framework (React / Vue / Angular). We use React.
  • You have experience with TypeScript and a strong background in the JavaScript / node ecosystem.
  • You’ve developed and contributed to interactive dashboards and visualization platforms.
  • You’ve worked in agile environments, have software design and code review skills, and experience writing maintainable, testable, production-grade code.
  • You have experience creating demo videos for new features both to help pitch to new clients and to help engineers understand and implement the designs.
  • You have years of industry experience designing interfaces for enterprise products for desktop / web-based applications. (This is not a mobile app. Yet.)
  • You have experience creating responsive design systems according to Google material design standards.
  • Bonus : You’ve designed and / or implemented SaaS-based analytics / visualization platforms before.
  • UI / UX & Front End Engineer – You have designed and / or implemented products for financial services professionals before and / or have experience in the industry.
