job_description.job_card.job_descriptionProvide excellent customer service Learn to independently input patient data and medication orders Count, label, and package prescription drugs and supplies Submit prescriptions for third-party billing and learn how to trouble-shoot Assist in ordering, stocking, and maintaining inventory of prescription medications, over-the-counter items, and necessary supplies Perform general cleaning and store maintenance : filing paperwork, stocking items, keeping the store clean and professional-looking Work with the pharmacy team to learn and understand patient care services Provide excellent customer service : greet and assist customers in person and via phone, build relationships with regular customers Gain knowledge of commonly prescribed drugs, brand / generic equivalents, and therapeutic classes Gain knowledge about billing third parties and resolving third-party issues Learn about over-the-counter and front-end departments; basic register functions Practice proper business ethics Comply with all local, state, federal, and company policies and regulations Abide by all Hometown Pharmacy Employee Standards of Conduct & Confidentiality Complete all training and continuing education provided by Hometown Pharmacies Follow all HIPAA standards and guidelines High school diploma or GED (required) 1 year of pharmacy experience or training as a technician (preferred) Ability to stand for duration of shift Ability to lift and carry up to twenty pounds

A Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting technicians and licensed pharmacists in operating a pharmacy. General duties include greeting and assisting customers in person and over the phone, entering and filling prescriptions, and cleaning and maintenance of the pharmacy department.
