We are seeking an experienced technician with the ability to Test & Inspect various types of Life Safety Solution Devices to join our team! These systems include Access Control, Security Systems, Fire Alarm Systems and Video Surveillance.
RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES : Please note the essential functions may vary depending on department size, organizational structure and / or geographic location.
Ensure that all inspections are completed on a timely basis and that inspections are done accurately and thoroughly.
Inspects systems for Code Compliance and conditions that would prevent operation.
Tests all equipment to ensure performance of installed systems.
Work in compliance with the Companys safety manual with safety of self and others in mind at all times.
All documentation is turning on time and filled out completely (example : Building Reports, BuildOps workorders & BuildOps Time Clock, etc.)
Daily communications with Field Supervisor on delays, requirements and general status of jobs.
Daily work orders and other documentation is kept up to date with customer requests, worked performed each day, job numbers, dates and times and tasks assigned to technicians.
BuildOps time events are accurate and filled out daily, complete with job numbers, locations, time adds up, hours are correct.
All work is performed to National Codes & standards and quality installation techniques are practiced.
Work with Service Technicians on startup to ensure complete system compliance.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge :
3+ years working in the Life Safety Test and Inspection Field on a daily basis.
Ability to read blue prints and schematics.
Knowledge of NFPA, IBC, IFC, IMC, Life Safety 101 Codes.
Knowledge and ability to use and operate required test equipment.
Basic AC / DC circuit and safety knowledge.
Skills / Abilities :
