Senior Systems Engineer

Overview

Our client, a leading distribution company in Kenosha, WI, is seeking a full-time onsite Senior Systems Engineer focusing on Windows / VMware to lead the design, implementation, and support of enterprise-wide hosting solutions. This role focuses on virtualization, containerization, cloud platforms (Azure and AWS), enterprise servers, and storage systems. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a proactive approach to infrastructure management. Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field is required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise environments with multiple operating systems; willingness to travel to domestic and international branch locations as needed. This is a hands-on role with build, some patches and upgrades focusing primarily on Windows, VMware and Citrix.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and implement enterprise system solutions within Microsoft Windows Server and VMware environments.
• Manage and maintain server hardware, software, and associated applications and systems.
• Provide technical leadership and strategic guidance for hosting services initiatives.
• Mentor junior engineers and support onboarding of new team members.
• Administer and support Microsoft Active Directory and Azure Active Directory environments.
• Develop, document, and review policies, procedures, and solutions related to IT hosting services.
