Wound Care Clinic Supervisor
Banner University Medical Center Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Clinic is part of the Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine Center at Banner University Medical Center Phoenix. The clinic offers treatment options for patients with complicated, chronic and non-healing wounds. Our multi-disciplinary team, which includes family practice physicians, plastic surgeons, podiatrists, vascular surgeons, general surgeons and orthopedic surgeons, all have advanced training in wound care. Our clinicians have national certification and expertise in caring for patients with wounds. We use a case management model to help patients navigate through the complex health care arena.
Location : Banner Wound, Plastics, and Trauma Clinic 1012 E Willetta St, Phoenix, AZ 85006. Travel to 2nd location once a week - Arcadia 4200 E Camelback, Phoenix.
Hours / Shift : This is a full time 40 hr / week position, days, 8 : 30am-5 : 00pm, Mon-Fri. No weekends or holidays.
As a Supervisor in this clinic you will be covering front office needs for Wound / Hyperbaric / Plastic / Trauma clinics, assist with Revenue Cycle requirements - collections, schedule management, collections, and accountability. Oversee Referrals, Surgery Scheduling, NPS for front office interaction. Wound Expert scheduling, management of the frequent changes to schedules due to community physician needs. Support / communicate with CEC to build out schedules in Cerner for Plastic and Trauma clinics. Manage Surgery Schedulers and their participation with the OR. Participate in OR meetings. Assist with patient concerns and follow ups. Partner with leadership in other office to smooth patient transition and needs.
POSITION SUMMARY This position works to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the assigned department, including day-to-day administration of non-physician staff and operations. Uses specialized knowledge, judgment and skills necessary to provide excellent patient care.
CORE FUNCTIONS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires a level of literacy, communication and math skills as normally demonstrated at the level of an Associate's Degree. Certain assignments may require current certification as a Medical Assistant, Nursing Assistant or current LPN license. Requires a level of knowledge and ability normally demonstrated by at least two years experience in a physician's office or medical environment. Requires excellent communication and organizational skills. Employees working at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital, BTMC Behavioral, and BUMG, BUMCT, or BUMCS in a Behavioral Health clinical setting that serves children must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment. An Arizona Criminal History Affidavit must be signed upon hire. Employees working at Banner Scottsdale Sports Medicine, second floor must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience in a leadership or coordinator capacity preferred. Additional related education and / or experience preferred.
