Join SailPoint as an Advisory Solutions Consultant to support Strategic accounts in the Central region . The role partners with Sales to transform complex identity challenges into clear business outcomes, using technical expertise, critical thinking, and confidence to drive success at every stage of the customer journey.
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in the sales process and work closely with direct and channel sales teams
- Discover and understand customer requirements and align SailPoint solutions to those requirements
- Present SailPoint business functions, value, and competitive differences
- Provide product demonstrations to prospective customers
- Assist in developing RFP responses in coordination with the RFP response team
- Participate in onsite and remote Proof of Value (POV) evaluations
- Provide feedback to Product Management on product enhancements
What you'll do to be successful
Within the first 4 months you will :
Learn the Identity Security and Identity Management spaceParticipate in demos best practices training and presentation skills developmentHandle initial demos and discussions in IGAAttend Revenue Onboarding for Challenger Sales trainingHone technical discovery skills through SE Scrum groupsPitch to Account Executives to master messaging and build relationshipsNavigate internal relationships with Customer Success Managers, Product Management, Professional Services, and PartnersCoordinate with AEs before and after client calls, tying what is presented back to business valueWithin 6 months to 1 year you will :
Contribute to building new technical collateral for organization-wide useGrow familiarity with IT audit functions, regulatory frameworks (SOX, HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA, etc.)Speak at national or regional conferences and meetupsProactively network and build your personal brandArticulate the business value of SailPoint as a strategic saleCommunicate with clients at the business level beyond IT (HR, Finance, risk management, legal, lines of business)Be fluent in the language of Identity SecurityRequirements
Ability to analyze complex challenges and craft effective, scalable solutionsNatural drive to explore, ask questions, and continuously improveHighly organized, self-driven, and committed to delivering quality outcomesAbility to work across teams and build strong relationshipsWorking knowledge of technical infrastructure (web services, application servers, databases, virtualization, directories)5+ years of professional experience as a pre-sales technical resource in an enterprise software company (B2B)Conversant in modern SaaS architectureFamiliarity with Python, Java, XML, LDAP, SQL, JSON; Azure / AWS / GCP desirableUnderstanding or willingness to learn AI components (Machine Identities, AI Agents, Generative AI)3+ years working with enterprise applications (e.g., Identity Governance, HCM, ERP, CRM)BA / BS or global equivalent preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsLocation & Travel
Residence in the Central states (TX, MN, OK, IL) is preferred. Anticipate up to 25% travel within the US, primarily in the Central US
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary ranges vary by location and experience. The company may offer a corporate bonus plan or role-specific commission, with potential eligibility for equity participation. Typical ranges are provided for US-based employees; actual offers depend on location, knowledge, skills, and experience.
