Position Overview
Mockingbird Law is seeking an experienced and compassionate Family Law Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law, outstanding communication skills, and a genuine commitment to helping clients navigate sensitive legal matters. Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in family law matters including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, adoption, and domestic violence cases.
- Draft, review, and file legal documents such as petitions, motions, agreements, and court pleadings.
- Conduct legal research and prepare case strategies tailored to each client's unique situation.
- Attend court hearings, trials, mediations, and settlement conferences as needed.
- Maintain regular and clear communication with clients, ensuring they are informed throughout the legal process.
- Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients' best interests in and out of court.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.
- Stay current on developments in family law and participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.Minimum of 2-5 years of experience practicing family law is preferred.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Excellent negotiation and problem-solving abilities.Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.Empathy, discretion, and professionalism when handling sensitive client matters.Proficiency with legal research tools and case management software.Benefits
