Technical Lead – Ecommerce Licensing (JavaScript / TypeScript, Node.js)

📍 Location : Colorado Springs, CO or Wilmington, DE

🏠 Hybrid Schedule : On-site Monday & Friday; Remote Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead with strong expertise in JavaScript / TypeScript (Node.js) to lead the design and implementation of scalable software licensing solutions. This role is critical in shaping licensing strategies across SaaS, subscription, and on-premises products, while integrating with ERP systems and eCommerce platforms.

You will act as a technical authority on licensing systems, mentor development teams, and bridge business needs with robust architectural designs.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design and implement scalable software licensing solutions for SaaS, subscription, and on-premises models.
  • Serve as the technical authority for license systems, ensuring compliance with enterprise architecture and security standards.
  • Lead end-to-end integrations with ERP systems and customer-facing eCommerce portals.
  • Translate business requirements into technical architecture and solution designs.
  • Mentor and guide development teams, promoting best practices in coding, architecture, and process.
  • Communicate technical strategies clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience with strong foundation in computer science principles, data structures, and algorithms .
  • 3+ years of backend development using JavaScript / TypeScript (Node.js) ; Angular experience is a plus.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services (API Gateway, IAM, S3, caching).
  • 2+ years in a technical lead role , overseeing medium to large development teams.
  • Proven expertise in software licensing models, entitlement systems, and eCommerce integrations .

    • Experience working in Agile / Scrum

    environments.
