About The Position

Job Title : Step-Down Registered Nurse

Profession : Registered Nurse

Shift : Night

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Minimum of 2 years, charge experience preferred

License : Active Registered Nurse license

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Must-Have : Epic experience within the last 6 months

Description :

Step-down RN position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Charge experience is preferred as the position may require working charge as needed.

Travel experience is not required, but candidates must have recent experience with the Epic charting system.

The nurse-to-patient ratio will range from 1 : 4 to 1 : 6, depending on patient assignments for each shift.

Nurses will care for both med / surg and intermediate care patients.

Candidates must be able to manage cardiac drips without titration and administer blood products.

Nurses are expected to effectively respond to rapid response and code teams.

Isolation precautions and telemetry experience are required.

This role involves management of dysrhythmias and the use of non-invasive airway management techniques.

Nurses will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including respiratory services and social services.

Holiday availability is important, and candidates must be prepared to work two out of three holidays if necessary.

Local candidates are not eligible for this position; candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius.
