Systems Engineer - Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (EEE) - R10208598
Location : Melbourne, Florida (position will be located in Melbourne, Florida). Relocation assistance may be available. Clearance type : Secret. Travel : Yes, up to 25% of the time. This opportunity is contingent on program funding with start dates determined after funding confirmation.
Responsibilities
- Write, interpret, allocate, tailor and flow down E3 requirements to all design levels.
- Interface across all phases of a program with strong technical communication to explain complex E3 topics to diverse audiences.
- Present E3 issues at design reviews to internal and external customers.
- Write E3 design guidelines, develop models, and perform analyses on components, subsystems and systems using EMI principles.
- Design ground systems, chassis and harness shielding, EMI filters, and select and lay out interface circuitry to achieve EMC.
- Prepare and review E3 test procedures, E3 test reports, E3 analyses, E3 control plans, and participate in cross-discipline design reviews for EMC.
- Design E3 test procedures and participate in E3 testing in accordance with governmental and non-governmental standards (e.g., MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, DO-160).
- Mentor less-experienced E3 engineers and contribute to the knowledge base by developing processes, procedures, documentation, and protocols for E3 engineering at Northrop Grumman.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in a STEM discipline with 2 years of experience, or a Master of Science in a STEM discipline.Ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance (DoD in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and program access as required within a reasonable period.Experience with MIL-STD-464 or MIL-STD-461.1 year of experience in RF, test, or design engineering.Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a specialty in Electromagnetics, RF, or analog circuitry.Experience with defense and aerospace industry practices and programmatic skills supporting BOE, RFP, ROM, CAM, WBS, risk assessments for E3 compliance is a plus.Design experience with EMI filters, circuit layout and analysis for E3, shielding, lightning protection, cable and harnessing.Working knowledge of modeling and simulation of E3 using commercially available software is a plus.Compensation and Benefits
Primary Level Salary Range : $77,200.00 - $115,800.00. The salary range is a general guideline; offers depend on scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses may apply where eligible. Long Term Incentives may be available for certain senior roles.
