Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An exciting opportunity is available for a full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to support elementary students in a thriving school environment in Dekalb, IL. This contract position spans the full school year, beginning August 4 and concluding May 21, 2026. The role offers flexibility around standard school hours (8 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM) and allows the SLP to select their preferred age group, whether early childhood, elementary, or a mix of K-8 students.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Deliver comprehensive speech-language therapy services to an elementary caseload
  • Collaborate with school staff and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school and state requirements
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities

Qualifications and Desired Experience :

  • CCC certification or CFY status for Speech Language Pathologists
  • Eligibility or current possession of a Professional Educator License (PEL) for school-based SLP services
  • Prior experience in school settings preferred; pediatric experience also valued
  • New graduates completing Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are encouraged to apply; supervision and onsite support provided
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with a passion for working with children
