Pattern Engineer 3

Description : The nature of the work is focused on research and development of products from conception to retail to meet the needs of accounts and consumers. Collaborates with Marketing / Design to interpret design concept into 2- dimensional patterns. Consults with product triad to clarify concepts and lend pattern-making and fit technical expertise. Creates first models from concept pictures. Incorporates styling and fit changes determined by design / marketing / development during fit sessions or design process. Inspects and critiques samples. Creates and / or revises product specifications with construction details for production. Ensures specifications detail construction methods that optimizes profitability.

Typically requires a Bachelors Degree and minimum of 5 years directly relevant work experience Note : One of the following alternatives may be accepted : PhD or Law + 3 yrs; Masters + 4 yrs; Associates degree + 6 yrs; High School + 7 yrs.
