Connect your passion with purpose in this Project Manager role, where you will support critical engineering and science initiatives. You will manage various electric utility relocation projects, ensuring the successful execution of multiple customer and contractor-initiated projects simultaneously. A desire to learn or a general knowledge of the technical aspects of Electric Utility Construction is required, as you will act as the subject matter expert while collaborating with customers. Safety compliance standards inherent in our operating and field procedures will be upheld throughout your work responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Develop, manage, and forecast project schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate resources and provide oversight and direction to team members.
• Perform effective upfront project planning to minimize costs and change orders, identify risks, and maximize efficiency.
• Identify project scope and decide on logical actions to meet requirements and deadlines.
• Communicate and manage customer relationships as the primary point of contact.
• Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical audiences, sometimes in public settings.
• Recognize technical issues impacting projects and develop plans to mitigate risks.
• Facilitate communication between service providers and internal customers.
• Respond to customer concerns and work with appropriate parties for resolution.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, design criteria, operation, and maintenance requirements.
• Apply general rules, standards, and guidelines to specific technical problems.
• Project modifications and upgrades to existing facilities on the electric distribution system.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external entities to coordinate construction schedules and resources.
• Support construction activities related to projects.
• Report on project and program progress as directed.
• Gather, consolidate, and analyze facts in relation to project requirements.
• Support emergency response work as requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

The role is remote, allowing employees to work from home, but candidates must be local to the area. The position is based south of Seattle.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Olympia, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
