Job Responsibilities
- Receive, store, prepare, and distribute raw materials and work-in-progress (WIP) inventory in the Warehouse.
- Handle all incoming materials for production and outgoing sub-assemblies (pouches) for further processing.
- Check the Primary Packaging production schedule and coordinate with Primary Packing on the accurate lot to be transferred.
- Request supplies from the Raw Material Warehouse as required.
- Receive and prep raw materials for Primary Packaging to process.
- Transfer raw materials into incoming / outgoing vestibules.
- Prepare and send Purchase Orders (PO) to the sterilizer.
- Perform GME transactions to move materials.
- Maintain material handling equipment and report any potential problems.
- Perform physical counts, spot-checks, and periodic inventory verification, including monthly / annual physical inventory and record-keeping.
- Keep raw material and WIP racks neat and organized.
- Ensure the receiving area and aisles are clean, organized, and free of hazards and obstructions.
- Transport materials designated for "return to stock" to the Raw Material Warehouse and ensure accurate input of inventory transactions in real-time.
- Place orders for kanban materials used in manufacturing.
- Maintain effective communication with Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMO), co-workers, and other team members.
- Collaborate with the Raw Material Warehouse to ensure materials are accurately staged for Manufacturing use.
- Align with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), safety rules and regulations, and departmental procedures.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Own a designated 6S area and keep the working area clean.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent experience required; AA degree preferred.1-3 years of experience working in warehouses or technical office settings.Good interpersonal and organizational skills.Proficiency in warehouse management systems and PC environments preferred.Ability to lift 50 lbs.Capacity to work additional hours when necessary.Ability to count sequentially up to 300 and perform basic math functions.Capability to operate autonomously without close supervision.Physical Demands
Reaching : Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.Lifting : Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position, requiring substantial use of upper extremities and back muscles.Talking : Expressing or exchanging ideas by spoken word, conveying detailed or important instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.Sedentary work : Consistently applying up to 10 pounds of force to handle tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or managing items. Requires predominantly sitting and occasional standing with 5-minute breaks every 60 minutes.Visual acuity : Required to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures.The work environment : Subject to hazards, including proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, or exposure to chemicals.Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent experience required; AA preferred.1-3 years of experience working in warehouse or technical office settings.We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The base estimated salary for this position is $48,000.00 annually. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
