HDR is looking for a Senior Construction Consultant to join our national Trenchless Services team. This role reports to the Trenchless Services Engineering Lead and supports the execution of design and field services associated with trenchless services : engineering, design, and construction applications.
Responsibilities
- Provide Construction Oversight for Trenchless installations.
- Conduct constructability reviews of Trenchless engineering efforts.
- Conduct daily reviews of deliverables for Trenchless construction activities.
- Conduct site visits during preliminary engineering efforts.
- Conduct Route Assessments for Trenchless aspects of Pipeline Siting and Routing efforts.
- Oversee Trenchless Construction Oversight activities (e.g., coordinating staffing, developing / reviewing CM scopes).
- Support Business Development for Trenchless services through client interface.
- Coordinate subcontractor activities, scheduling, and quality control.
- Prepare the Project Management Plan or Construction Management Plan.
- Develop procedures for construction contract administration and implement with the project team.
- Lead additional construction management activities, including procurement schedules, subcontract scopes, and constructability / value engineering reviews.
- Administer and manage construction activities and monitor design progress related to construction requirements.
- Perform value engineering and constructability reviews.
- Coordinate local bidding for field quotes and assist in procurement of purchase orders and subcontract packages.
- Coordinate document management and review construction submittals, shop drawings, and pay applications.
- Prepare, issue, and negotiate Change Orders; review baseline and updated construction schedules.
- Control project budget and schedule; manage quality assurance / quality control and inspection services.
- Ensure subcontractor compliance with the Health and Safety Program through communication and inspections.
- Prepare and update project schedules, pay requests, and progress reporting (daily, weekly, monthly).
- Coordinate and manage project setup and temporary facilities.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Construction Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction planning and management, including contracts, document / time / cost / quality management, change management, safety, bidding, scheduling, and related activities.Experience with Microsoft Office.Experience with construction management software such as Procore, Prolog, Primavera, Bluebeam, etc.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with Owner, Engineer, Contractor, and other stakeholders.Commitment to HDR's employee-owned culture.Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineer (PE)Certified Construction Manager (CCM)Experience with estimating software, scheduling software, project management software and web-based collaboration tools for document exchange.About HDR and EEO

Compensation and Location
The targeted salary range for this position is $135,000 – $165,000, depending on experience and location. Primary location : United States-LA-Lafayette. Other locations include multiple U.S. sites listed in the job posting.
