Description

The Cottages of Dakota is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide part-time nursing services for our Burnsville and Apple Valley sites. The ideal candidate would have flexible availability Monday thru Friday during business hours, as well as evening and weekend hours as needed. Our facilities cater to 27-30 individuals who require a minimal level of nursing oversight in a comfortable residential care setting.

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct daily rounds to monitor patient conditions and ensure continuity of care between the patient, house management, and staff.
• Perform assessments, chart observations, and track the progress of each patient's condition during each visit.
• Train and ensure the competency of new staff members and continued education for current staff members
• Administer medications as prescribed by physicians and monitor vital signs.
• Manage wound care, including dressing and assessing the healing process.
• Educate patients and their families on proper home health care techniques and strategies to aid recovery.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other professionals involved in the patient's care plan.
• Provide palliative care to enhance patient comfort.
• Recommend tools and devices that may improve the patient's quality of life.
