POSITION SUMMARY :
The Data & Analytics Director is responsible for leading and managing the Data Architecture, Engineering, Business Intelligence teams which encompasses data flow, analysis & reporting and data science based on organizational priorities. This includes aligning IT operational processes and strategic roadmaps with business needs, ensuring that standards and technology best practices are consistently met, and managing project intake and resources based on the direction and emphasis of organizational demands.

Salary range for this position is $159,822.78 - $186,851.34 with a progressive benefit package.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Performs essential duties and responsibilities in the following areas which may include but are not limited to those listed and are subject to change.
- Adheres to the Credit Union's core values and Service Standards in conducting GreenState's mission and vision.
- Demonstrates a positive member service (internal and external) focus at all times.
- Demonstrates teamwork in all interactions with coworkers and in the completion of all duties and responsibilities.
- Ensures confidentiality of member information.
- Supports a diverse and inclusive work environment.
- Leads the organization in GreenState's data strategy, service management, and delivery functions.
- Establishing and executing a comprehensive data vision.
- Develops departmental operating plans to carry out the technology vision and leverage digital best practices across the organization.
- Aligns IT operational processes and roadmaps with the organizations business needs.
- Executes and sets the example of appropriate project management oversight by overseeing multiple projects in various areas of discipline.
- Develops and maintains processes for checks and balances of key steps to be followed by operational resources and / or automated systems.
- Fosters vendor relationships to ensure timely and valuable deliverables for stakeholders.
- Ensures key vendors and applications integrate appropriately and minimize additional expense and dual entry and processing.
- Employs and maintains system processes and controls to protect data in conjunction with thecorporate business resumption plan. Defines and maintains strategy for data availability.
- Continually works with systems, vendors, and staff to seek methods of improving manual process with automation.
- Researches industry trends in data and development to ensure the credit union remains competitive in its products and service offerings.
- Maintains awareness of changing trends in technology and regulations in the credit union industry to include software and systems and act as required.
- Provides and maintains key methods of implementation of new enhancements, system upgrades and modifications by coordinating with proper staff and processes.
- Coordinates and maintains personnel resource schedule as applicable to ensure timeline processing of key business data.
- Acts as primary conduit for data flow and enhancements to key business workflows by directing appropriate staff and managing resources.
- Manages the full development lifecycle for the design, development, and deployment of solutions, and establish and maintain standards, methods, and procedures.
- Prepares service reports for the Executive Team and Board of Directors.
- Coaches and directs staff in operational activities to ensure compliance with operational goals.
- Ensures that various federal reporting documents are delivered in a timely manner.
- Ensures that processes comply with State and Federal rules and regulations.
- Provides leadership to the team ensuring employees are positioned for success by providing guidance and championing performance and development opportunities.
- Provides a high level of technical guidance to internal customers utilizing expert technical proficiency.
- Provides input on Departmental or functional strategy and policy formation.
- Ensure budgets, resources, and schedules meet corporate requirements and milestones.
- Utilize negotiation skills aimed at providing the best outcome for the organization.
- Collaborate with internal business partners to establish strategic plans and meet deadlines.
- Embraces and leads change.
- Plays a vital role in enriching the community by participating in community service organizations and / or credit union sponsored events, on an annual basis.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.At least six (6) years progressive experience working in a large, complex technical environment supporting workflow automation, information management, delivery, cultivation, and warehousing systems.At least five (5) years of experience in a leadership role building efficient, reliable, and scalable solutions that improve business outcomes. Preference will go to those with financial institution experience.Up-to-date practical knowledge of AI / ML technologies and their trends including vendors and tools used to drive real business value.Experience with cloud-based data platforms and services.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and motivate high-performing teams.Strong project management and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to initiate and coordinate detailed tasks and timelines across multiple business functions required.Established and documented track record of making quality IT decisions based on quantitative methods and thorough research.This position requires highly specialized knowledge, with experience in several key skills, including but not limited to :Advanced knowledge of data stewardship tools including master data management, ETL tools, data dictionaries, etc.
BI consumption tools and information consumer profiles.Data science methodology.Familiar with requirements gathering and documentation processes.Familiar with agile development processes.Security controls and best practices.Change management processes and procedures.Experience and knowledge of the financial services industry, specifically around electronic funds transfer, electronic banking, share draft processing, and data exchange is preferred.Experience with Symitar, Windows operating systems and Microsoft data products preferred.Ability, availability, and willingness to work flexible hours to accomplish workload. During periods of peak demand, job will require a non-traditional workweek with extra hours including evening and / or weekend duties.Interpersonal skills to diplomatically deal with employees of all levels, and to represent the credit union in a positive way during member contact.Excellent figure aptitude with accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to prioritize assignments and organize work efficiently, to handle large volumes of detail.Ability to deal tactfully and efficiently with members and co-workers on a professional level.Must be bondable.Reporting Relationship
This position reports to the Chief Information Officer.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position is responsible for the supervision of others.
