This posting will establish and maintain a pool of part-time lecturers with experience teaching Anthropology courses in designated fields of the discipline, which may include specializations in areas such as Biological Anthropology, Archaeology, Cultural Anthropology, or courses within their area of expertise, for the Department of Anthropology in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Colorado Denver. We seek candidates who can teach core undergraduate courses including Introduction to Biological Anthropology, Human Evolution, Introduction to Archaeology, World Prehistory, Lost Worlds and Crystal Skulls, Introduction to Cultural Anthropology, and an upper-division required university core course in cultural diversity. Candidates hired from this pool will fill temporary, non-tenure track positions and will teach no more than twocourses per semester. Appointments will be part-time (less than 50%) and will be made semester-by-semester, depending on the needs of the department and subject to budgetary approval. Compensation and Benefits

The hiring rate for this position has been established at $1,667 per credit hour (undergraduate courses) or $1,808 per credit hour (graduate courses).

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.

The above salary range ( or hiring range ) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.
