Job Title : Crisis Worker
Reports to : Crisis Program Manager
Job Status : Non-exempt, Hourly, Part-Time
STATEMENT OF THE JOB
Provides information, referral services, and crisis intervention services by phone and electronically to the public and community professionals 24 hours / day, 7 days / week.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides support and consultation to shift team partners
- Provides and supports triage and routing functions on shift per the teams goals
- Provides complete, accurate documentation of client contacts
- Ensure that client rights and confidentiality are maintained
- Collaborates with other program staff to assure client access to emergency assistance
- Follow-up with imminent risk clients
- Conduct accurate assessments of suicide and other emergencies
- Responsible for staying current with all ongoing training requirements for both services
- Assists with community outreach activities as assigned by the management team
- Actively involved with agency programs and events
- Supports operations during times of disaster as defined by agency policy
- Maintains up to date knowledge of agency processes and policies & procedures
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Requirements : REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma required; experience in human services preferred.Successful completion of Basic Crisis Intervention training and Crisis Management training is required (provided by Gryphon Place).Must have availability on weekdays, evenings, some weekends, and / or overnights.Must maintain a designated work area at home that is free from distractions and excessive noiseReliable home internet service with a minimum download speed of 50 Mbps is required (internet service is not provided by the employer).A personal phone that can be used for work purposes is required (phone service is not provided by the employer).Availability required : 1st shift (8am - 4pm), 2nd shift (4pm - 12am) and 3rd Shift (12am - 8am)KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
