Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Emergency Room night shift position, requiring an active IL license and at least three years of pediatric ED experience in a trauma or academic setting.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the Pediatric Emergency Department of a hospital
  • Night shift schedule : 12-hour shifts (7 : 00 p.m. to 7 : 30 a.m.), three shifts per week
  • Every other weekend required
  • Care provided to pediatric emergency and trauma patients
  • No block scheduling available
  • Must be available to work at least two of the three winter holidays
  • A completed Cannabis Acknowledgment Form is required in accordance with Illinois regulations
  • Return employees must be separated for at least one year and return travelers for at least 45 days before eligibility
  • No block scheduling allowed and all requested time off must not exceed 10 days
  • Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers, except for NICU and PICU which do not accept locals within a 50-mile radius
  • \n \n Requirements\n

  • Active, permanent IL RN license required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Minimum three years of pediatric ER RN experience in a trauma or academic facility
  • Must have prior travel experience
  • Certifications required : ACLS, CPR, PALS
  • Preferred certifications : TNCC and ENPC
  • Covid and Flu vaccinations required for consideration
  • Two references required, with at least one from the past year
