Role Overview :

The Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and forward-thinking Director of Project Management to lead a team of project managers working on high-priority projects for initiatives that promote innovation and improve student outcomes across the state. This role requires strong leadership skills, project management expertise, and a deep understanding of how to ensure project outcomes connect to the mission of the state agency. This role will also require a steadfast ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving policy and educational landscape.

The Director will provide strategic planning and oversight of agency-wide project management and coaching / mentoring of multiple Senior Project Managers on the team. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience with innovative project management, a strong sense of ingenuity, adaptability, and collaborative leadership to support the department's goals and drive continuous improvement in Indiana's K12 education system. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following :

Salary Statement :

The salary for this position traditionally starts at $93,002.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.

This position is exempt from overtime compensation for additional work hours which may be required to complete essential functions or other assigned work. Exempt employees may work more than 75 hours in a pay period without additional compensation and must report a minimum of 75 hours per pay period of work hours and / or paid leave taken to receive their base biweekly salary.
