Status : Part-Time, Non-Exempt (10–25 hours per week)

Pay Range : $22–$30 / hour

Location : Remote

Position Summary

Prescott HR is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll Specialist to support multi-client payroll administration. This role ensures accurate, timely payroll processing and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The ideal candidate is experienced in payroll systems, organized, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment. Experience with multiple HR or accounting software is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process biweekly and semi-monthly payrolls for multiple clients accurately and on schedule.
  • Verify timesheets, pay rates, deductions, and benefit contributions.
  • Reconcile payroll data and prepare reports for review.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding tasks related to payroll setup.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with wage and hour laws.
  • Collaborate with consultants and client contacts to resolve payroll discrepancies.
  • Support general HR and operations functions as needed.
  • Additional admin tasks as assigned.

Work Environment

  • This is a remote, part-time position averaging 10–25 hours per week.
  • Work must be performed during core business hours of 8 : 00 a.m. – 5 : 00 p.m. Eastern Time.

    Requirements : Qualifications

  • 2+ years of payroll processing experience (multi-state or client-based preferred).
  • Working knowledge of payroll systems (Paylocity, Paycor, ADP, QuickBooks, or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and clients.
  • Proficient in Excel and Google Workspace; experience with other HR or finance software a plus.
