Overview

LMI is seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead with expertise in Microsoft Power Platform and strong project management skills to lead development efforts for a major office at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This role combines hands-on technical development with project leadership responsibilities, driving solution design, managing delivery timelines, and guiding a team of developers to ensure mission success.

The Technical Lead will serve as both a strategic partner to business stakeholders and a technical leader for the delivery team, ensuring solutions are innovative, scalable, and aligned with customer needs.

Responsibilities

Technical Leadership : Lead the design, development, and delivery of solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).

• Project Management : Oversee the development lifecycle, manage timelines, allocate resources, and ensure deliverables meet VA's mission and business objectives.
• Project Scheduling & Planning : Create and maintain project schedules and detailed project plans to track progress, dependencies, and milestones.
• Backlog Management : Manage the product backlog by prioritizing features, enhancements, and bug fixes in alignment with stakeholder needs and program objectives.
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define scope, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Provide solution architecture guidance and ensure scalability, security, and maintainability of applications.
• Develop and maintain applications, workflows, automations, and dashboards to streamline business processes.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, conduct code reviews, and enforce best practices.
• Manage and resolve risks, dependencies, and issues across the project lifecycle.
• Integrate Power Platform solutions with other Microsoft services and third-party applications.
• Prepare project documentation, technical guides, and provide training as needed.
• Stay current on Power Platform updates and emerging technologies to recommend innovative improvements.

Target salary range : $100,000.00 - 125,000. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and / or certifications.
