This position is hybrid working environment with a minimum of 3 days in the office, typically Tuesday through Thursday, with the ability to work from home the remaining workdays. Candidates must be able to travel to plant sites when needed (approx. 6-8 days / month with ability to support longer durations).

Responsibilities
- Oversee proposal development and guide other engineers in the development of deliverables for nuclear projects within the Electrical, Controls, and Digital disciplines
- Report to an assigned Project Engineer and Project Manager on multi-discipline proposals and projects; act as a Project Engineer for Electrical and I&C projects when required
- Act as a technical point of contact for the customer, leading discipline-specific engineering teams, and providing area expertise in development of industry standard design and calculations for nuclear modifications
- Prepare design change packages for modifications at operating nuclear plants and other related facilities
- Proficiently prepare engineering change packages (ECs)
- Prepare scoping documents and proposals to determine the extent of modifications required; prepare cost estimates for engineering / design activities for Electrical, I&C, and Digital
- Conduct field walkdowns to determine existing configuration of plant structures, systems, and components
- Perform a broad range of Digital I&C design activities to support development of design change documentation, including modification of system requirements, system network architecture, control logic, and HMI
- Generate cyber assessments and component classification in accordance with 10 CFR 73.54 and NEI 08-09, ensuring the classification of critical digital assets is documented prior to client Cyber Security Assessment Team review
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering from an accredited university (required)Master of Science or other advanced degree in engineering (preferred)PE registration (highly preferred) – or ability to obtain PE License within one year of employment (required)Minimum of 8 years' experience in design and 4 years' experience in design of modifications in nuclear (DOE or commercial) plantsExperience with multiple operating nuclear clients and vendors (highly preferred)On-site and past unescorted access (highly preferred) or ability to obtain unescorted access at an operating or construction nuclear plant (required)Experience with Industry Standard Design Procedure IP-ENG-001 (required)Knowledge of Industry Standard Digital Design Engineering NISP-EN-04 (required)Machine design experience (preferred)Successful Candidates Will
Must have design engineering experience at commercial nuclear sites, including integration of digital upgrades and cyber security reviews to owner proceduresAbility to interpret codes, regulations, and standard practicesUnderstanding of cyber security implications surrounding plant networks, operating systems, hardware platforms, plant-specific applications, and related services / protocolsDemonstrated adaptability; proficient in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving issues within a nuclear power plant environmentEffective oral and written communication skills (including technical writing)Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with customers and internal team members in a matrixed organizationAdditional note : A strong background in commercial nuclear design and developing engineering competencies is required.
