BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Payment Engineer for an opportunity in NYC, NY (Hybrid).

Position Title : Payment Engineer

Location : NYC, NY (Hybrid)

Anticipated Start Date : 10 / 27 / 2025.

Expected Duration : 12+ Months Contract with Strong Possibility of Extension.

Job Type : [Contract (40 hours weekly)], [Hybrid]

Pay Range : $60 / hr - $65 / hr

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Requirements : Key Responsibilities

• Develop APIs and backend services supporting real-time payments, account validation, and fintech integration.
• Build smart routing, status tracking, and exception handling into orchestration flows.
• Implement scalable, event-driven microservices that support high transaction throughput.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to boost productivity and code quality.
• Contribute to test automation, security validation, and monitoring infrastructure.
