Assistant Nurse Manager
The Assistant Nurse Manager will assure that clinical service objectives are established, approved by the Nurse Executive and outcomes demonstrated, by appropriate utilization of staff and resources. This position will also plan and recommend new services or equipment needed to provide and improve patient care. Additionally, the Assistant Nurse Manager will assure that all decisions are timely with consideration given to impact on patient care, financial resources, employee relations, public image and departmental concerns. The Assistant Nurse Manager will be expected to participate in special projects as designated.
Manages staff and oversees day to day operations on the Medical floor and to provide appropriate problem-solving approach to planned performance of service to patients. Assures that clinical guidelines are followed. Works with other hospital entities to assure continuity of care is maintained. Responsible for staff scheduling, performance evaluations, coaching / counseling.

Effective problem solving, critical thinking skills and a willingness to adapt to a changing work environment required. Must be an effective team-oriented leader, assisting and mentoring others to facilitate patient customer satisfaction. Maintains clinical and professional evidence-based competency levels required of age-specific populations. Must be able to identify appropriate staffing, supply, maintenance, and equipment needs and adjust as necessary within budgetary guidelines.
Qualifications
Current North Carolina RN license or RN multi-state licensure privilege through the Nurse Licensure Compact required.
