Sr. Mechanical Engineer - Valves

Position Overview

Based in Santa Fe, TX, we are a small but growing valve production company. We are seeking a skilled Sr. Mechanical Engineer with expertise in valve production to lead the design, development, and optimization of our valve products. The ideal candidate will leverage their technical knowledge and leadership skills to improve manufacturing processes and ensure product quality, while also being involved in the development of new valve products and the enhancement of existing ones.

  • This role could be a Sr. Mechanical Engineer that is looking to move into an Engineering Manager role.
  • We are a smaller company and looking for candidates who like to be hands-on. You will be a vital part of our growth and we're looking for folks we can invest in.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of new valve products using CAD software (SolidWorks).
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize assembly processes and improve production efficiency.
  • Develop customer and project specific design packages (material selection, dwg updates, specification review).
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and technical documentation for valve production.
  • Discussing and completing customer request / production request with departments, third-party contractors, suppliers and clients / customers.
  • Evaluate and implement manufacturing methods to enhance product quality and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to valve production.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in valve production and valve design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD software, particularly SolidWorks.
  • Experience with Mathcad, Draftsight, or Global Shop Solutions a big plus.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing methods and engineering principles.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
