About This Opportunity :

Work Location : Central Maryland Area Command

Work Schedule : Part-time (up to 28 hours / weekly)

Seasonal (approximately November 1, 2025 - December 24, 2025)

This position is responsible for :

Driving on behalf of The Salvation Army to transport Red Kettle equipment to bell ringing locations.

Key Responsibilities :

• Drives carefully and observes / complies with all traffic signs and road / weather conditions to ensure the safety of himself and others
• Parks vehicle in a safe and clearly marked parking space
• Locks vehicle doors when vehicle is not in use
• Fuels vehicle in accordance with state gasoline regulations and The Salvation Army standards
• Logs all mileage on standard forms; ensures the accuracy and completeness of the same
• Arrives at destination according to schedule or telephones ahead when severe delays occur
• Picks-up Angel Tree donations from various sites for transport to warehouse
• Picks-up and delivers miscellaneous items as needed

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :

Work involves driving a vehicle where there may be physical discomforts associated with changes in weather such as rain, cold, snow, heat or discomforts associated with long-distance trips or heavy traffic.

Qualifications :

What Are We Looking For In You :

Education and Experience : High School Diploma or G.E.D AND two (2) years of experience operating an automotive vehicle; OR any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Licenses and Certifications :

Valid State Driver's License

Must meet TSA MVR requirements
