Overview
Join to apply for the Refrigeration Engineer role at City Building Engineering Services (CBES) . Due to continued success and growth, we're expanding our maintenance division to support new client contracts across the UK. We're recruiting Refrigeration Engineers nationwide to join our high-performing teams and deliver exceptional service on a local scale. You will be the first line in all service and maintenance throughout your allocated sites. You will effectively maintain service and repair refrigeration equipment in customer locations and provide assistance to HVAC equipment containing refrigeration circuits.
Responsibilities
- Prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.
- Identify non-repairable faults promptly and advise the Line Manager with recommendations for replacements.
- Ensure PPM schedules are completed within agreed timescales and that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
- Ensure all technical and compliance paperwork is completed and up to date.
- Participate on an out-of-hours standby rota and arrange / communicate cover as required to the line manager.
- Be aware of regulations and codes of practice applicable to the tasks.
- Order and fit parts or components as prescribed by company procedures.
- Notify the company helpdesk of procedural task conditions on cessation of works.
- Advise GSMs of repair, maintenance and installation issues likely to affect store operations and maintain professional relationships with GSMs.
- Respond promptly to service call requests from the Helpdesk and carry out repairs as required.
- Carry out surveys and complete reports as required by the refrigeration supervisor / RFM.
- Complete all work to the highest standards in a safe, cost-effective manner in line with the Health and Safety policy.
- Complete tasks within the allotted time period to the satisfaction of the company and client.
- Proficient in written and verbal communication, report writing and recording procedures.
- Attend training courses as necessary to keep skills up to date.
- Complete all mandatory online training modules (evolve) and comply with Health and Safety requirements.
- Work with company and ASDA colleagues to maintain standards of quality; represent the company professionally and develop good relationships with City and ASDA colleagues.
- Comply with any other reasonable requests or instructions from the City Management Team.
