  • Assignment Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 14 / 2025 – End : 2 / 13 / 2026)\n
  • Nursing Shift : Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19 : 00 – 07 : 00)\n
  • Hours per Week : 36\n
  • Guaranteed Hours : Yes\n
  • Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend\n
  • Charting System : Epic\n
  • Patient Ratios : Average 1 : 6\n
  • Orientation : 16 hours\n
  • Flu Vaccine : Required (No exemptions)\n
  • COVID-19 Vaccine : Not required\n
  • Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1990 - $2130\n

    • \n\nER Registered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Minimum 1.5 years of recent emergency room nursing experience in an acute care hospital (2 years preferred)\n
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; Connecticut RN license must be applied for prior to submission (pending license accepted)\n
  • Required certifications : TNCC (or TNS), ACLS, BLS\n
  • Proficiency with Epic electronic health record (EHR) system\n
  • Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs\n
  • One professional reference required\n
  • Travel nurses must reside more than 75 miles from the facility\n
  • Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)\n

    • \n\nER RN Responsibilities\n \n

  • Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in a Level I Trauma Center\n
  • Manage patient assignments with an average nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 6\n
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and social services\n
  • Utilize Epic EHR for accurate and timely clinical documentation\n
  • Perform specialized emergency room procedures : continuous IV sedation, dysrhythmia management, ventilated patient care, and ICP monitoring\n
  • Participate in stroke and chest pain center protocols\n
  • Float to other campuses as needed (no trauma / rescue rooms, triage, or locked behavioral health units for travelers)\n
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies and participate in required orientation and annual training modules\n
