The Functional Family Therapy (FFT) Therapists
Provide culturally competent, clinically oriented, short-term treatment within a family assessment program.
Deliver an evidence-based intensive family therapy model focusing on cognitive, emotional, and behavioral domains.
Work with adolescents aged 11-17 and their families to address negative behaviors.
Adhere to a five-phase service delivery model to maintain fidelity.
Conduct primarily home-based therapy sessions with family units.
Target factors in family interactions that contribute to negative behaviors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of approximately 8 cases.
- Attend required trainings and participate in weekly staff meetings.
- Complete all documentation and assessment tools promptly.
- Ensure adherence to treatment protocols and model fidelity.
- Maintain required family contact frequency, including home visits.
- Engage in community outreach activities to achieve self-referral targets.
- Be available to respond to client crises as needed.
Qualifications
Master's degree in social work or equivalent in a NYS license-eligible mental health profession.Experience with adolescents and families in child welfare, mental health, or juvenile justice settings.Willingness to work within the FFT model and philosophy.Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.Strong clinical skills and ability to handle high-risk, crisis-oriented cases.Proficient in documentation and computer literate.Bilingual In English / Spanish Preferred But Not Required.Must have a car and a driver's license.J-18808-Ljbffr
