Come talk to us about joining the Centerstone team!\n\nJOB DESCRIPTION : \n\nSUMMARY OF POSITION\n\nProvides psychiatric and medical assessment and triage, face-to-face or by phone as indicated. Obtains medical monitoring data as necessary. Maintains medical record as expected. Assists in pharmacologic treatment by providing medication information, monitoring for side effects, compliance, and calls in ordered medications. Administers medications and performs venipuncture and other laboratory monitoring functions as requested. Is aware of and demonstrates appropriate infection control techniques and demonstrates an awareness of emergency medical management procedures. Reviews and records laboratory and other data and assures a timely and appropriate response to abnormal labs. Attends specified clinic, medical staff, and educational meetings. Maintains record of Nursing CEUs. Reviews appropriate current literature in nursing and psychiatric nursing.\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\n

• Performs comprehensive psychiatric / mental health assessments, evaluates mental status and refers to other treatment providers when necessary.\n
• Monitors changes in health status, including but not limited to vital signs, weights, nutritional status, and disease states and reports abnormal values as required.\n
• Administers and monitors medications as ordered. Monitors medication effectiveness, side effects and compliance. May perform assessments for any side effects / EPS.Monitors clinic medication supply and maintains necessary documentation.\n
• Provides phone triage and addresses medication issues with patients when necessary. Provides proper education and guidance as necessary.Assists patients with accessing medications including obtaining prior authorizations and accessing prescription assistance programs.\n
• Provides healthcare education to patients and / or families or staff as assigned.\n
• Provides CLIA Waived laboratory testing as ordered. Maintains CLIA waived laboratory environment including Quality Control testing and documentation. Monitors received laboratory values and reports abnormal values as required. Phlebotomy may be required.\n
• Provides employee health services as directed, including annual influenza vaccination clinics and staff TB skin testing.\n
• Works in collaboration with other members of the treatment team and in collaboration with external health care providers as necessary.Nurses may provide direct physical supervision to Certified Medical Assistants and delegate tasks in accordance with the Tennessee Nurse Practice Act and other applicable regulations.\n
• Completes clinical documentation within organization's policy standards.\n
• Maintains all mandatory trainings up to date.\n\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES\n
• Must have the ability to work cooperatively with all staff and physicians and function as a valuable member of the treatment team.\n
• Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods.\n
• Basic computer knowledge.\n
• Strong prioritization / organization skills.\n
• Meets dress code standards, appearance is neat and clean.\n
• Maintains and ensures patient confidentiality at all times.\nReports to work on time and as scheduled; complete work within designated time.\n

• Demonstrates the ability to be flexible, organized and function under stressful situations.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\n\nEducation Level\nHigh School diploma or GED required. Graduation from accredited RN program.\n\nYears of Experience\n\nMinimum of six (6) months to one (1) year experience in psychiatric or equivalent mental health related nursing experience is preferred.\n\nCertification / Licensure\n
• Registered Nurse (RN) in Tennessee required\n
