• Assignment Length : 13 weeks (locum tenens contract)\n
• Healthcare Setting : Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)\n
• Location : Marshfield, Wisconsin 54449\n
• Estimated Weekly Salary : $2360 - $2420\n
• Shift : 3x12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM)\n
• Hours per Week : 36\n
• Weekend & Holiday Coverage : Every other weekend and holiday required\n
• Floating : Required to Pediatric Unit as needed\n
• Start Date : 10 / 27 / 2025\n
• End Date : 1 / 26 / 2026\n\nPICU Registered Nurse Qualifications\n
• Active Wisconsin RN license (Registered Nurse) at time of submission\n
• Minimum 2 years of recent PICU RN experience in a hospital or healthcare setting\n
• Previous travel nursing experience required\n
• BLS (AHA) and PALS (AHA) certifications required\n
• Bedside Shift Reporting (BSSR) attestation required\n
• Strong communication skills, including AIDET and excellent customer service / phone etiquette\n
• Ability to float to Pediatric Units as needed\n
• Compliance with healthcare facility credentialing and onboarding requirements\n\nPICU RN Responsibilities\n
• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to pediatric patients in the PICU\n
• Perform sedation, trach care, intubation, NAVA, Vapotherm, CRRT (minimal), and ICP / Bolts monitoring\n
• Conduct hourly rounding and bedside shift reporting\n
• Manage ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, Foley catheters, and other specialized clinical equipment\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and social services\n
• Float to pediatric units as required to support patient care\n
• Maintain infection control and isolation precautions according to hospital protocols\n
