A nonprofit organization in Newton, MA is seeking a part-time bookkeeper to support their financial operations. This open-ended temporary role offers flexible scheduling - approximately 3-6 hours every other week on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays, with parking reimbursement available. Pay is $25 per hour, and the position is ideal for someone experienced in bookkeeping who enjoys autonomy and flexibility while contributing to a mission-driven organization.

Key Responsibilities :

Maintain and organize financial records in QuickBooks Online

Record, track, and process invoices, bills, and payments

Perform account reconciliations and general ledger cleanup

Generate and organize reports to support annual audits

Streamline and improve accounting workflows

Collaborate with staff or external accountants for reporting and compliance

Candidate Qualifications :

Proven bookkeeping experience, preferably in a nonprofit setting

Proficiency in QuickBooks Online required

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Strong communication and teamwork abilities
