Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA / OTA) – Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation | Kingston of Vermilion, OH

Full-Time or Part-Time | On-Site | Ohio OTA License Required

Kingston of Vermilion is seeking a caring and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA / OTA) to join our skilled nursing and rehabilitation team. Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you’ll help residents improve daily living skills, regain independence, and enhance their overall quality of life in a collaborative, resident-centered environment in Vermilion, Ohio.

What You’ll Do as an Occupational Therapy Assistant

Provide therapy services as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist

Assist residents with exercises, self-care training, and adaptive equipment use

Monitor and document resident progress, reporting updates to the OT

Educate residents and families on therapy goals, safety techniques, and ongoing care

Create a positive, supportive therapy environment that encourages resident participation

Ensure therapy services follow Ohio state regulations and Kingston’s standards of care

What You’ll Need

Active Ohio Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) license required

Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

Experience in skilled nursing, rehab, or long-term care preferred (new grads welcome)

Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills

Compassionate, resident-first mindset with a focus on quality outcomes

Ability to thrive independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
