AbbVie, a global, research-driven biopharmaceutical company, is seeking a Director of AI for our Manufacturing, Engineering, and Contracting (ME&C) organization. This leadership role will drive the strategic vision and practical implementation of artificial intelligence solutions across ME&C operations, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices.

The Director of AI Manufacturing Engineering & Contracting (ME&C) leads the strategic application of artificial intelligence to optimize manufacturing processes, engineering solutions, and contracting operations at AbbVie. This role defines and executes AI-driven strategies to enhance operational efficiency, innovation, cost-effectiveness, and quality across ME&C, driving continuous improvement and digital transformation within the organization

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI-driven solutions to optimize practices across ME&C.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teamsincluding Operations, IT, Quality, Compliance, and Data Scienceto identify & execute high-impact AI initiatives.
• Lead a cross functional team, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement to execute high impact AI initiatives.
• Create and execute the AI strategy roadmap for ME&C, adapting to evolving industry trends and AbbVie priorities.
• Oversee AI project governance, ensuring solutions are robust, scalable, and compliant with applicable regulations (e.g., FDA, GxP).
• Stay current with emerging AI technologies, tools, and regulatory guidance relevant to pharmaceutical manufacturing and engineering.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders, representing AbbVie at industry forums as needed.
