Job Description :

The surgeon will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with joint-related issues, primarily focusing on joint arthroplasties, with a well-rounded experience taking general orthopedic trauma call. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in an award-winning, high ranking, supportive and collaborative environment with state-of-the-art facilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Perform primary and revision total joint arthroplasties.
• Provide preoperative and postoperative care for joint replacement patients.
• Take general orthopedic trauma call (4 weekdays per month on average). No primary call (always a PA / resident in-house). Two employed traumatologists are available to manage complex cases.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including residents (UConn), physical therapists, physician assistants (robust team of >

10 PAs), and other specialists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
