Staff Mechanical Engineer - Electromechanical Systems

Job Title : Staff Mechanical Engineer – Electromechanical Systems – $50–$69 / hr

Location : Covington, GA (Onsite Mon–Thu, Friday Flexible)

Pay Rate : $69.44 / hr

Schedule : 1st shift, 8 : 00 AM–5 : 00 PM with 1-hour lunch (some flexibility)

Employment Type : Contract-to-Hire (opportunity for full-time conversion based on performance)

Position Summary :

We are seeking a Staff Mechanical Engineer with expertise in electromechanical systems and capital equipment design. In this role, you will lead small teams, drive product development, and contribute to R&D initiatives for advanced mechanical systems. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to step into a leadership role with the potential for full-time conversion.

Key Responsibilities :

Design and develop components, mechanisms, and complex electromechanical systems

Lead and mentor small engineering teams on design and development projects

Perform advanced testing, data analysis, and problem-solving for mechanical systems

Apply statistical techniques and design of experiments (DOE) in product development

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, manufacturing, quality, regulatory)

Ensure designs meet customer needs, compliance requirements, and business goals
