System Engineer 2
Salary : $168,000 - $173,600
Were seeking an experienced System Engineer who thrives on tackling complex technical challenges and leading systems from concept through successful implementation. In this role, youll not only analyze requirements and design architectures. Youll also take on a leadership role in shaping solutions, managing risk, and ensuring mission success.
What Youll Do :
- Translate user requirements, operational concepts, and high-level architectures into detailed system specifications.
- Lead design and development activities, providing technical leadership across requirements, design, and integration.
- Guide system development and implementation planning through engineering management plans, integration, and test strategies.
- Partner with government counterparts and senior executives to resolve technical challenges and ensure alignment.
- Produce and review system documentation, including architecture diagrams, design documents, and interface control artifacts.
- Integrate new technologies and designs into ongoing operations to improve mission performance.
Key Responsibilities :
Manage and validate system requirements to ensure delivery of production systems compatible with DoDAF, SOA, and other architectures.Develop and review engineering documentation (System Engineering Plans, Capability Documents, Requirements Specifications, Interface Control Documents).Implement comprehensive SOA solutions and DoDAF-compliant views (operational, technical standards, and systems / services).Coordinate resolution of cross-disciplinary action items from reviews and boards.Capture and manage interface designs using standardized formats and repositories.Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks with quantitative analysis.Establish and manage a process to control and track changes to requirements and ensure technical baseline integrity.Support DoD Certification & Accreditation processes, as well as development of JCIDS documents (ICDs, CDDs, IA Strategies).Lead integration and testing of complex hardware / software systems, performing end-to-end flow analysis.Develop operational concepts, scenarios, and threads that address performance, support, and lifecycle needs.Conduct quantitative analysis of non-functional requirements (reliability, survivability, maintainability, etc.).Ensure smooth coordination of integration activities across multiple teams.What You Bring :
14+ years of experience as a System Engineer on programs of similar scope and complexity.Bachelors degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related field (an additional 5 years of SE experience may substitute for a degree).Experience in the legal or technical aspects of Intelligence Community Privacy Compliance.3+ years of experience with NSA systems architecture.2+ years of experience providing technical direction in systems integration and engineering.Benefits : https : / / weeghmanandbriggs.com / summary -of-employee-benefits-2024 /
