Director of Capital Markets Principal Side (Multifamily Real Estate | Dallas Preferred)

At Aligned Ventures , were a fast-growing multifamily investment firm scaling from $40M to $1B AUM within 36 months. Our founder has personally invested over $10M and maintains a $30M balance sheet , co-investing ~20% of the equity in every deal . We are investors first, operators second , and were looking for a Director of Capital Markets who's ready to build a capital platform that matches the scale of our ambitions.

The Opportunity

This is a principal-side role not employment, but partnership.

You'll lead the capital formation strategy, raise equity from sophisticated investors, and help architect the systems that will scale our platform to institutional size.

Your mandate :

  • Raise $90M+ in equity annually across multifamily syndications and preferred-equity investments
  • Build and systemize our investor base (family offices, HNWIs, RIAs, and institutions)
  • Develop repeatable fundraising infrastructure CRM, funnels, webinars, investor education
  • Manage deep, trust-based relationships with repeat LPs and new investors alike
  • Collaborate directly with the CEO and acquisitions team on deal capitalization
  • Earn real equity participation in every deal you help capitalize

Who You Are

  • 7-15 years in real estate capital markets, private equity, or investment management
  • Proven record raising $25M+ across multiple offerings or funds
  • Deep understanding of multifamily structures, waterfalls, and investor psychology
  • Highly credible, articulate, and emotionally intelligent can command the room and close with integrity
  • Obsessed with results, accountability, and execution not red tape
  • Entrepreneurial operator who thrives when given autonomy and ownership

    This seat is designed for a performer not an employee.

  • Base Salary : $100,000
  • Performance Compensation : lucrative commissions and overrides on capital raised
  • Equity Participation : meaningful ownership in every deal you help capitalize
  • Realistic First-Year Earnings : $300,000$500,000+ for top performers
  • Partner Track : opportunity for GP equity and leadership participation

    • If you're not earning at least $300K in this role, something went wrong either we hired the wrong person, or you picked the wrong opportunity.
