Our client is seeking a results-driven Continuous Improvement Manager to lead performance and reliability improvements across our Dallas facility.
Summary :
This role is pivotal in optimizing manufacturing systems, enhancing food safety, and driving cost-saving initiatives. You'll be the go-to technical resource for lean manufacturing, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and operational excellence in a high-volume bakery environment.
Responsibilities :
- Lead the facility's continuous improvement program using Lean, Six Sigma, and TPM methodologies
- Develop and execute reliability improvement plans for equipment and personnel
- Facilitate mindset training and problem-solving workshops for operations teams
- Support startup and testing of packaging materials and equipment
- Provide technical input for capital projects and new product commercialization
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Maintenance, R&D, Sales, and QA
- Drive cost reduction initiatives and ensure annual savings targets are met
- Support food safety programs and ensure compliance with FDA, OSHA, and EPA regulations
- Maintain documentation and reporting for CI activities and KPIs
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement and fact-based decision making
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, Business, or related field5+ years of experience in food manufacturing or engineeringLean Six Sigma certification REQUIREDStrong knowledge of bakery equipment, packaging materials, and manufacturing systemsProven ability to lead cross-functional projects and strategic initiativesExcellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skillsFamiliarity with FDA, OSHA, and EPA standards
