Piper Companies is seeking a BI Developer / Reporting Analyst to join one of the largest federal credit unions. The BI Developer / Reporting Analyst will be responsible for analyzing collections data to optimize recovery strategies, building performance dashboards, and supporting decision-making across financial services teams.

Responsibilities of the BI Developer / Reporting Analyst include :

  • Design, automate, and manage interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and Excel to monitor collections performance and key metrics.
  • Examine large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies that inform strategic decisions and improve debt recovery processes.
  • Partner with collections, credit risk, and operations teams to evaluate and enhance strategies, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights through written reports, presentations, and visualizations tailored to various audiences.
  • Maintain data accuracy and integrity while adhering to internal standards and regulatory requirements, supporting audit and compliance efforts.

Qualifications for the BI Developer / Reporting Analyst include :

  • 2+ years of experience working with data warehouses, including data modeling and ETL processes.
  • Advanced experience using business intelligence platforms such as Power BI or Tableau to create impactful dashboards and reports.
  • Proficient in writing complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from relational databases.
  • Familiarity with collections systems (e.g., FICO), financial KPIs, and regulatory frameworks like FDCPA and CFPB is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Compensation for the BI Developer / Reporting Analyst includes :

  • Salary : $75,000 - $90,000
